Relevant Skills: Board members should have relevant financial and accounting skills.
- I have the critically needed accounting and finance skills. I worked for years investigating and analyzing the accounting and balance sheets related to a $1.6 billion global acquisition.
- I understand how the credit ratings agencies function. I formerly represented one of the “big 3” ratings agencies on numerous matters.
- I have experience in environmental remediation and construction disputes, matters at the forefront of the Town’s agenda.
Dedicated/Hard-working: Board decisions should be fully informed.
- As an attorney, my clients rely heavily on my dedication, mastery of the facts, and work ethic.
- The Town and Board’s decisions must be fully informed decisions with the consequences understood.
- I would bring the same vigorous analysis, ethics, and integrity that I use in private practice to the Board of Finance.
Getting Results: Progress through shared goals and values.
- I am a firm believer in cooperative governance.
- If elected, I intend to work hard to maintain a spirit of cooperation amongst the public, various Boards, and representative bodies.
- I am dedicated to seeing progress achieved through fresh ideas and steady improvements.
