Key issue
Having spent more than six years on the RTM Finance Committee, I am acutely aware of the need to right size our budgets. Tax increases must be kept under control, but mindless budget cutting can be counterproductive over the long-term. Lip service to fiscal responsibility is not sufficient. Financial efficiencies must be actively pursued, especially within the school district.
