FOUR YEAR TERM

Ed Cheffetz
38 Crest Terrace

Presently serving a four year term as ZBA Alternate, Ed has had prior experience with Prudential Connecticut Realty. He has also served on the Grasmere Elderly Daycare Board, a Fairfield-Easton Medical Reserve Corps Volunteer, a Coast Guard Auxiliary member, a member of the Inventors Association of Connecticut, and BSEE Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Key Issues: Fairness to property owners’ needs must be compassionately balanced with any possible negative impact on their community and the Town of Fairfield.

I have been serving on the ZBA for the past two years as an alternate. Now I would like to be a permanent member. I am a member of the DTC and  I have lived in Fairfield for over eight years.

The Zoning Board of Appeals provides needed flexibility to the zoning regulations which determine the look and feel of our communities.

My 10 years on the Board have taught me that strong enforcement of these regulations, and a high threshold for granting variances, provides the best protection for our neighborhoods.
